WILLARD - Columbian's Tiffany Walker managed the Tornadoes' only win in a match at Willard Friday night, which the Flashes won 4-1.
Walker defeated Willard's Jamie Tuttle, 6-7 (3-7), 6-4, 7-5. It was the lone bright spot for TC as it dropped to 4-5, 2-2 in the Northern Ohio League.
In other singles play, Willard's Allie Worcester beat Sarah Guzowski, 6-1, 6-3, while Alivia Parrott knocked off the Tornadoes' Kayla Magrum, 6-3, 6-0.
In doubles play, Willard's duo of Karmen McKelvey and Hannah Belmares beat Ashley Niedermier and Sam Krintzline, 6-1, 6-1. In the second doubles match, Claire Wiers and Hannah Brown beat Kristina Talbot Kohl and AnnMarie Petrosino, 6-0, 6-0.
Galion sweeps singles, beats Calvert
A 6-2, 6-4 win by the Calvert duo of Cassie Recker and Kerrigan Kwiat over Galion's Donnetha Lester and Sierra Jordan was the only victory for the Senecas in a 4-1 loss to the Tigers.
Galion won the other doubles match (Kelsey Cassady and Sara Cassady topped Margaret Bowers and Regina Hoepf 6-2, 6-1) and took all the singles matches as the Senecas fell to 6-2 on the season.
In singles play, the Tigers' Raven Crawford beat Madison Daniel 6-3, 2-6, 6-3, while Kayla Laforst upended Laura Haley 6-4, 6-3 and Katelyn Smith beat CeCi Burtis, 7-5, 6-4.
Moore tough, but FHS falls
BLUFFTON - Fostoria's Erica Moore upended Bluffton's Juliana Hotmire 6-4, 7-6, but the host Beavers took all the other matches for a 4-1 win.
In the other singles matches, Bluffton's Maggie Fett beat Autumn Affholder, 6-0, 6-0, while Kendra Tidd defeated Jillian Smith, 6-1, 6-2.
In doubles, Beavers Kayla Eddington and Justine Mitchell defeated Sabra Tate and Jessica Kauffman, 6-2, 6-3, while Brielle Hamilton and Sara Berka beat Fostoria's Ellen Guan and Destinie Farris, 6-0, 6-0.
