Outlook: Last season was a good start for the program.

This year, the Warriors have set higher goals.

Mohawk was undefeated in duals last season, though as Coffman admitted, it didn't have a plethora of competition. He set out to change that for this season.

"This year I've gone out a ways to get more competition and more teams to play," he said. "We're going a little bit farther."

Coffman said his players have raised their expectations, as a team and individually. It starts with Kinley, who was the Warriors' top player last year and made it out to districts.

"She's been by far our best player, been our medalist each time," Coffman said.

And this year, she's thinking state.

"Katelynn has some high goals set for herself," Coffman said.

As for the team, it has postseason expectations as well.

"Even last year in their first year, they thought there might be a chance they could make it out of sectionals, but they knew after last year that was a goal they could accomplish," Coffman said.
