James B. DeBusman, 59, of St. Clair Shores, Mich., passed away Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013.
He was born May 17, 1954, in Tiffin, to William J. and Marilyn DeBusman. They preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Marie; three sons, Jim (Danielle), Ryan and Bradly; a daughter, Stephany; a grandson, Parker; a brother, Mike (Phyllis) DeBusman; two sisters, Amy (Larry) Diaz and Debra (Joe) Hess; and nieces and nephews, Michelle, Brooke, Anthony and Brooks.
Jim graduated from Columbian High School, attended Bowling Green State University, and graduated from the Center of Creative Studies, Detroit, Mich., with a bachelor's degree in fine arts and advertising design. He worked 29 years as a technical illustrator in the auto industry, the majority of those years at GM for an independent contract service, as a PAD processor/technical illustrator, as well as an instructor and supervisor.
He had a heart of gold and a great sense of humor. His passions included his family, golf, music and being an artist. He loved painting abstract art and in the past few years, creating digital art.
Visitation for family and friends will be 2-9 p.m. today, Aug. 29, at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave. at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich.
His funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Road, Clinton Township, Mich.
