Charges are pending after a woman allegedly overdosed on heroin early Thursday morning.
According to Tiffin Police reports, a 100-block Melmore Street person called police around 2 a.m. to report a possible heroin overdose.
Tiffin Police Chief Fred Stevens said the woman who allegedly overdosed was unresponsive but breathing when police arrived at the residence. After an ambulance arrived, she was given medication and became responsive.
She was then transported to Mercy Tiffin Hospital. He said the woman admitted to taking heroin. Charges are pending, he said.
A second drug overdose was reported early Thursday morning in the 3000 block of South SR 19. There, an unknown drug was used and a man was found unresponsive and not breathing, according to Seneca County Sheriff's Office reports.
The fire department arrived to the South SR 19 residence and found the man was not in full cardiac arrest, according to reports. He was transported to a hospital.
