August 8, 2013
By Bonnie Daniel - Correspondent , The Advertiser-Tribune

BETTSVILLE - Village residents served as volunteers to clean up their community after the July 10 storm. Mayor Gary Harrison was thanked for spending hours chipping brush. The village's police and fire departments' personnel pitched in to help clear roadways and keep traffic safe and moving. The village's brush pile is quite large and they are hiring out the chipping for the remainder at a cost of $1,300.
