Clyde R. Fish

Clyde R. Fish, 91, of Tiffin, passed away Monday evening, Aug. 5, 2013, at his home.

He was born June 22, 1922, in Coleman, Mich., to Robert and Mildred (Fox) Fish. He married Sarah E. Runion Dec. 24, 1949, and she passed away March 11, 2012.

Survivors include three sons, Sam (Kathy) Heath of Risingsun, Tim (Janis) Fish of Tiffin and Clyde (Kathy) Streets of Florida; four daughters, Linda (Buddy) Ickes and Virginia (John) Michaels, both of Kansas, Kathy (Charles) Hill of Findlay and Bonnie Fish of Tiffin; one brother, Loren (Anna Mae) Fish of Fostoria; 21 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Also preceding him in death were his parents; son, Jim Heath; four sisters, Lucille Mominee and Lois McKnight and infant twins, Vivian and Virginia Fish; great-great-grandson, Ashton Black; and grandson-in-law, Richie Kimble.

Clyde was a welder at American Ship Yard, Toledo, worked at Babe Ink Construction and retired in 1987 from Sterling Abrasive after 15 years. He also served in the United States Army from May 10, 1946-Dec. 18, 1946. He set up and sold at flea markets and garage sales, loved all animals and enjoyed fishing and hunting until he was 88 years old. Clyde made a lot of friends, was a good father-in-law and will surely be missed by his family and friends.

His funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424 with the Rev. Terry Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery, Tiffin, with military honors being conducted by the United Veterans' Council.

Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care, Tiffin.
