William L. ‘Willie’ Nedolast

July 26, 2013
The Advertiser-Tribune

William L. "Willie" Nedolast, 69, of Holiday Lakes in Willard, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at his home.

He was born May 26, 1944, in Willard, to Albert and Susanna (Miller) Nedolast. Willie retired from the City of Galion where he was a state certified building inspector and, prior to that, had worked for Ray Willman and Sons for 25 years. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Willard, and volunteered many hours at Holiday Lakes where he and his family resided.

He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, carpentry, working outdoors, mowing lawn, playing cards and watching the Cleveland Browns, Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Indians. He always was quick to lend a helping hand to those in need and put a smile on everyone's face, but most of all, his family.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia (Kalb) Nedolast, whom he married March 9, 1963, a daughter, Deborah (Jerry "Slick") Miller and two sons, Steve (Lisa) Nedolast and Kevin (Michell) Nedolast, all of Holiday Lakes; five grandchildren, Hannah, Sidney, Danielle, Nathan and Emily; two stepgrandchildren, Tylor (Lynette) Nester and Nicholas Nester; three brothers, James (Anne) Nedolast and Roger (Amy) Nedolast, both of New Washington and Larry Nedolast of Plainfield, Ill.; two sisters, Anna (Michael) Clark of Chesterton, Ill., and Janice (Richard) Miller of Bucyrus; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Nedolast.

Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Secor Funeral Home, 202 W. Maple St., Willard, OH 44890, (419) 933-2801.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Willard. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery, New Washington.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
