Patricia A. Britton

Patricia A. Britton, 69, of Carey, died at 9:10 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Upper Sandusky.

She was born April 6, 1944, the daughter of the late Robert Dewey and Dorothy J. (Mericle) Ogg. She married Robert Britton and he died in Alaska in 2012.

Surviving is an adopted daughter, Lori Britton of Findlay; three sisters, Betty Jane "Bet" (Michael) Wagner and Jenny (Joseph) Emert, both of Findlay, and Vicki (Rob) Charlton of Vanlue; one brother, Steven (Luanne) Ogg of McCutchenville; 10 nieces and nephews; and 24 great-nieces and nephews.

Pat was a 1962 graduate of Mohawk High School. She continued her education at Bowling Green State University studying nursing. She was a nurse in Pennsylvania, Alaska and Ohio for approximately 50 years. She retired from AmeriCare, Findlay, this past April. She served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

She attended Bible Methodist Church, Findlay, where she enjoyed helping with the Ladies Ministry. She loved reading and hosting parties.

Friends and family will be received from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey.

Her funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 22, at the funeral home with the Rev. Chris Cravens officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey.

In memory of Patricia, memorials may be made to Bible Methodist Church, New Life FM radio in Griffin, Ga., or Wyandot County Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Vehicle Fund in care of Stombaugh-Batton Funeral, 225 W. Findlay St., Carey, OH 43316-1169.
