David D. Kromer, 60, died Friday, July 12, 2013, in Huron, after a long illness.
David was born in Sandusky.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronald and Ruth Kromer of Milan, Wayne and MaryAnn Kromer of Tiffin; his sister, Rebecca Kromer and her longtime friend, Mary VanSchaick, both of Waverly, N.Y.; two cousins ,Gail Kromer and her longtime friend Judy Isaac, and Marilyn (Jim) Ellis, all of Norwalk; three nephews, Brett (Jill) Kromer of Sandusky, Mark Kromer of Tiffin and Ross Kromer of Findlay.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Otto A. and Donnabelle (Wade) Kromer; and two brothers, Glenn Frederick Kromer and Paul Biehl Kromer.
He lived in Erie and Huron counties throughout his life. He attended Lincoln Technical Institute in Indianapolis, Ind. where he studied automotive diesel truck technology. David was most recently employed at Homan's Transportation in Monroeville as a truck driver. Prior to that, he was employed at John's Welding and Towing in Tiffin, as parts/service manager. For more than 30, years he worked in Norwalk at W.L. Mead Trucking Co. He also worked at Norwalk Implement, and Norwalk Truck Sales, as a mechanic and later as service manager.
Friends may call from noon until the time of the service at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, OH 44857, (419) 663-4513 with the Rev. Margaret D'Anieri of St. Paul Episcopal Church officiating. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetary.
