GREEN SPRINGS - Two people were injured, one critically, when their 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle struck a deer in Adams Township early Saturday morning.
Sgt. Andy Worcester of the Fremont post of State Highway Patrol said the motorcycle was westbound on SR 101 when it struck a deer. The driver and a passenger were thrown from the motorcycle, and the motorcycle came to rest an estimated 50 feet from them off the right side of the road, he said.
State Highway Patrol identified the driver as Wayne L. Lewis Sr., 42, of Clyde. He was taken by Green Springs EMS to The Bellevue Hospital and later was taken by Life Flight to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. He was in critical condition Saturday afternoon, a hospital spokeswoman said.

A passenger, Amanda D. Himebaugh, 40, of Tiffin, was taken by Republic EMS to The Bellevue Hospital.
They were not wearing helmets, Worcester said.
The accident occurred on SR 101 near SR 228 and was reported about 12:20 a.m. Saturday. It was under investigation Saturday morning.
