Imogene N. Pahl, 85, of Carey, died at 1:32 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2013, at her residence with her family by her side.
Born Jan. 17, 1927, in Seneca County, she was the daughter of the late Wade S. and Corrine M. (Huth) Lauer. She married Harold V. Pahl Oct. 16, 1948, in St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Bascom, and he preceded her in death May 24, 2003.
Surviving are four daughters, Diane (James) Welly of Kirby, Teresa (Charles) Brodman of Carey, Karen (David) Mates of Smyrna, Tenn., and Lisa (Scott Clark) Pahl of Columbus; and a daughter in-law, Carol Pahl of Carey. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was a son, Donald J. Pahl; two brothers, Richard Lauer and Nicholas M. Lauer; and an infant sister, Elizabeth Lauer.
A 1945 graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School, she was a homemaker, worked at General Electric in Tiffin and retired in 1988 from RCA in Findlay.
She was a member of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey.
Imogene enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed companionship with her dog, Carrie.
Family and friends will be received from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2013, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home in Carey. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey, with the Rev. John Stowe, OFM Conv., officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Salem Township near Upper Sandusky.
