n The Heidelberg Youth Football Camp runs 9 a.m.-noon July 8-11 at Mayer Field. The camp is designed to serve campers ages 6-13 in all areas of football development, and will be run by the Heidelberg staff and players. Each camper will receive a detailed evaluation, a camp T-shirt, and a certificate of completion. Cost is $60 if pre-registered by July 1, $75 at the door. The Royals got homers from three different players, and defeated the Braves 9-3. Kylen Coopshaw and Dominic Bryant each had a single and a homer, while Caleb Hoyda had perhaps the biggest offensive day with two doubles and a homer. Zavier Sherman and Caleb Sears each had singles for the Royals. The Braves got a double from Dalton Kimble and one single each from Evan Keefe, Trey Shuey, Andrew Beamer and Malikaih Cooper.
n The Yankees blanked the Braves 12-0. Takaia Goodman paced the Yankees with a grand slam and a double. Brodie Fox doubled and singled and Durrell Pate also doubled. Luke Graham laced a pair of singles while Josh Yentzer, Brendon Blott and Xavier Baker all singled.
n The Yankees topped the Mets 5-3. Ashton Moore, Brendon Blott and Xavier Baker all doubled. Takaia Goodman had a pair of singles and Brodie Fox added a single. Hayden Carter doubled for the Mets while Brandon Cox, Jack Burkholder and Noah Ferstler all singled.
n Quinton Smith tossed a no-hitter and doubled and singled to lead the Tigers in a 5-0 win over the Dodgers. Caden Crawford, Cameren Smith, Blake Hoover, Wyatt Walters and Eli Haner all singled.
Babe Ruth Junior
Bair Bros. got a single and a double from Austin Prenzlin, and a triple from winning pitcher Kris Wilson in defeating the Eagles, 18-7. Lance Daniels and Tony Szablewski also hit doubles for Bair Bros., while Andrew Taylor and C.J. Assenheimer added singles. For the Eagles, Logan Tyree had a double and two singles, while Jeffrey Shook and Blake Donnersbach singled.
n The Firefighters scored eight in the fourth and went on to beat FOP No. 128 12-9. Shawn Fitch, Brenten Prenzlin, Isaac Lewis, Logan Schatzinger, Will Fleck and Austin Parrott all singled for the winners. Ryan Riggs was the winning pitcher. For FOP, Trevor Fox singled twice and doubled, Tandy Adams had a pair of doubles and Andrew Scaife singled three times. Also, Isaac Moore doubled and singled while Kaleb Tyree and AJ Elchert singled.
n Three runs in the seventh lifted Eagles past Firefighters 5-3. Logan Tyree singled and homered for Eagles in addition to picking up the win on the mound. Dylan Hurst pounded out a pair of singles while Chris Stephen, Nick Burns and Blake Donnersbach added singles. Isaac Lewis had three singles for Firefighters. Ryan Riggs tripled and Austin Parrott singled.
Seneca County B League
Green Springs pushed across two runs in the top of the eighth and held Geroski Family Dentistry scoreless in the bottom of the frame Saturday to post a 13-11 win. The game was originally suspended due to darkness on May 23. Zach Hickman went 3 for 3 with a triple, double, two RBIs and a run for Green Springs. Brock Minnick scored three times, singled twice and doubled, Brody Deck went 4 for 4 with three runs, Kobie Halbeisen scored twice, doubled and singled, Jack Morrison doubled and singled, Kadin Notestine singled and scored, Trevor Phillips scored twice and Garrett Wiseman scored. Braeden Spatar got the win. Avondre Reed doubled in a run and scored for Geroski Family Dentistry. Collin Hipsher singled twice and scored, Malik Cradolph had two singles and two runs, Jason Spradlin singled in a run and scored, Roger Hall and Dylan Peace both singled, Gavin Montgomery and Dom Guillen both scored twice and Anthony Tucker and Vinny Volpe both scored.
n Green Springs doubled up Geroski Family Dentistry 8-4, thanks to Kadin Notestine going 3 for 3 with a triple and two runs.
