A Newark man was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property Thursday night after it was discovered he was driving a stolen Penske truck.
Deputy Larry Mackling of the Seneca County Sheriff Office said Kenneth E. Rice Jr., 42, had been stopped for speeding in the area of South SR 100 and East TR 201 when it was discovered the box truck was reported stolen.
He was arrested and also cited with having no operator's license, a child restraint violation, speed and a seat belt violation, according to Tiffin Municipal Court documents.
Mackling said Penske was contacted and the truck was turned over to the company. All the property inside belonging to Rice was removed.
Rice is being held on $20,000 bond at the Seneca County jail.
