Louise Catherine Terry

Louise Catherine Terry, 90, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Mercy Tiffin Hospital.

She was born Feb. 26, 1923, to Bryan J. and Helen L. (Mathias) Whitmer. She married Joseph W. Mangus Sr. Oct. 31, 1942, and they later divorced. She later married Clayton H. Terry Sept. 3, 1952, and he survives.

Louise attended Tiffin Public Schools. She was an avid doll collector and a long time member of the Sandusky River Valley Doll Club. She also loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors also include two brothers, Bryan (Wanda) Whitmer of Maumee and John A. (Nancy) Whitmer of Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters, Sandra Rohrbach of Lecanto, Fla., and Barbara Keene of Toledo; three sons, James B. (Sandy) Mangus of Republic, William F. (Lynette) Mangus of Crown City and Richard C. Terry of Tiffin; two daughters, Helen L. Thompson of Winter Springs, Fla., and Denise C. (Frederick) Sauber of Archbold; a daughter-in-law, Rosie Mangus of Tiffin; 10 grandchildren, Beth Mangus of Tiffin, Brian Mangus of Tiffin, Jeffrey Mangus of McCutchenville, Wendy (Don) Carrick of Attica, Dawn (Mark) McGinty of North Carolina, Jon (Christy) Thompson of Atlanta, Ga., Ryan (Natalie) Thompson of Chicago, Ill., William (Amber) Mangus Jr. of Columbus, Clayton Sauber of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Anna (Edward) Buchholz of North Ridgeville; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, William, Gerald, Richard and Donald Whitmer; a son, Joseph W. Mangus; and a son-in-law, Michael Thompson.

Her funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory, 135 N. Washington St., Tiffin, with the Rev. Ken Gillikin officiating.

Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Tiffin.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
