John N. Motot, 81, of Fostoria, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at his home.
He was born Oct. 31, 1931, in Fostoria, to LeRoy D. and C. Catherine (Koons) Motot. He married Janet L. Gaskalla Nov. 5, 1954, in Angola, Ind., and she survives.
Also surviving are a son, Larry Duane Motot of Fostoria; two daughters, Laurie Diane Sherman of Vanderbilt, Mich., and Linda Darlene (Stanley R.) Bisbee of Onaway, Mich.; a sister, Nancy Motot of Bowling Green; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Orlow Motot; and a sister, Doris Jean Motot.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2013, at Mann-Hare-Hoening Funeral Home, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria.
His funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dan Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria, where the United Veterans of Fostoria will provide military honors.
