Mary L. Sharpe, 75, of Tiffin, died at 4:40 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.
Mary was born Jan. 27, 1938, in Toledo, to James and Elizabeth (Thallman) Snyder. She married James Sharpe Jan. 21, 1963, in Findlay.
Survivors include James, her husband of 50 years; three daughters, Cynthia (Jeffrey) Clouse of Elizabethtown, Ky., Amy (Billy) Lawrence of Bowling Green, Ky., and Elizabeth (Martin) Schank of Republic; seven grandchildren, Angela (Joel) Kahney, Carrie (Michael Buckles) Clouse-Buckles, Brenton (Jenny) Hippler, Kylie (Robert) Whitlock, Jordan (Aaron Talley) Hippler, Brian Skeel and Matthew Skeel; three great-grandchildren, Sophia Kahney and Lilly and Christian Courtney; three sisters, Barbara Harry of West Independence, Carolyn Jean Mauer of Findlay and Nancy Howerton of LaGrange, Ky.; and a sister-in-law, Bonnie Snyder of Roswell, N.M.
Mary was a homemaker and attended the Church of the Nazarene in Tiffin and Willard. Mary was an avid bird watcher and loved nature. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren's sporting events and following the Cleveland Indians.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Snyder.
There will be visitation for family and friends 4-7 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2013, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory, 135 N. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-1221.
There will be a private family burial at Farewell Retreat Cemetery, Republic.
