Nearly 200 dancers are to participate in the year-end recital of Dance Unlimited Studio in Tiffin. "Wings on Our Feet" is to be staged at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at The Ritz Theatre, 30 S. Washington St.
Dance Unlimited Director Cynthia Weaver said Saturday is seniors' night and Sunday is a tribute to teachers.
Ten senior dancers are to give their final recital. Weaver said they are to perform together for one number and also dance with other students in separate jazz and ballet routines.

In contrast, 12 beginning ballet students will be dancing in their first recital. They began classes in the fall as 3-year-olds, but most have turned 4. Brooklyn Boehler, a Tiffin University graduate, is their instructor, with Emily Ferstler as her assistant. The little girls are dancing to an arrangement of "Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star," choreographed by Boehler.
In addition to Boehler, Dance Unlimited has 10 more instructors. They are Lea Frank, Brianna Gaietto, Alyssa Gardner, Kathy Miller, Sarah Raber, Ali Rees, Heather Schalk, Michayla Stallings, Alayna Stastmy and Julie Webb.
Weaver said the teachers choose their own music and choreograph the numbers their students will dance in the recital. Weaver then chooses a general dance theme and title for the show.
Founded in 1981 by Mary Jo Murray, Dance Unlimited classes took place at Heidelberg University until the past few years. The studio now is in Tiffin Mall.
Students can start ballet at age 3, tap at age 4, jazz in first grade, modern and hip hop dance in third grade. All school-age children are welcome to register for instruction and progress at their own rate.

A special souvenir program has been printed for the recital, and it is to be sold to generate funds for the Christi Thomas Scholarship Fund. One senior dancer is selected each year to receive the scholarship to offset the cost of the dancer's last year of lessons.
Tickets are $13 for general admission and $5 for children 12 and younger.
