Thomas N. Kin, 55, of Tiffin, died at 2:15 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.
Thomas was born July 29, 1957, in Tiffin, to Nelson and Rita (Weinandy) Kin. He married Cynthia (Wendler) Aug. 16, 1980, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin and she survives.
Survivors also include his mother, Rita; two daughters, Amanda (Charles) Bicking and Laura Kin, both of Cincinnati; and a brother, Daniel (Pam) Kin of Tiffin.
Thomas worked as an accounting supervisor for Marathon Petroleum, Findlay. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, a former member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs. Thomas was a 1975 graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School and went on to graduate in 1979 from The Ohio State University. He enjoyed traveling, reading, history and just spending time with his family.
His Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, with the Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Tiffin.
Visitation for family and friends will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory, 135 N. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-1221.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or to the Coalition for Pulmonary Fibrosis.
