William Edwin Fishburn, 79, of Perry Street, Fostoria, died Sunday, May 26, 2013, at St Catherine's Manor, Fostoria.
He was born Aug. 10, 1932, in Piketon, to Ralph and Marie Fishburn. He married Marilyn Cotner Feb. 15, 1958, in Columbus, and she died Feb. 20, 2013.
Surviving are two children, Kendra K. Fishburn of Fostoria and Bruce J. Fishburn of Memphis, Tenn.; a brother, retired United States Air Force Colonel Chaplain Ralph D. Fishburn of Florence, Texas; four adopted grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He also was preceded in death by his parents; two stillborn sons; two brothers, John T. and retired United States Air Force SFC Robert E. Fishburn; and a sister, Ruth A. Fishburn
He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a master sergeant Sept. 1, 1974 after three years of U.S. Army and 18 years of U.S. Air Force service.
His funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, 301 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, with the Rev. Richard Krcal officiating. Burial will be at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria, where military honors will be conducted by the United Veterans Group of Fostoria.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
