James Martin Drake, 82, of Fostoria, died Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.
He was born Oct. 7, 1930, in North Baltimore, to Rollie and Bernice (Baldwin) Drake. He married Josephine Loe and she preceded him in death in June 1998.
He is survived by six children, Michael (Judy) of Fostoria, Cynthia of Van Wert, Larry (Penny) of Fostoria, Dwight of Findlay, Jeff (Tami) of Fostoria and Ann (Chris) Reiter of Fostoria; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mae Denen of Findlay and Shirley Crow of Rouston, La.; and sister-in law, Norma Drake of Fostoria.
He also was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenneth Drake.
James was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving during the Korean War.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at Hoening Funeral Home, 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, where a wake service will begin at 3:45 p.m.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Goodwin and the Rev. Nicholas Weibl presiding. Burial will follow at Weaver, Bloom Township Cemetery.
