Shirley Juel Sibold, 77, of Vickery, went home to be with her heavenly maker Monday, May 20, 2013, at Stein Hospice, Sandusky.
She was born July 21, 1935, in Dansville, N.Y., the daughter of Homer Doud and Martha Kathryn (Reed) Kellogg. Shirley was a member of Hayes Memorial Methodist Church and frequently read her Bible. She enjoyed square dancing with Buttons and Bows, was active in the Foxy Fanciers camping club and enjoyed sewing, gardening, hummingbirds, bird watching and traveling with her husband.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Lyle Sibold of Vickery; three daughters, Cathy (John) Hatcher of Quitman, Miss., and Helen (Mark) Kromer and Martha (Ed) Bowman, both of Clyde; eight grandchildren, David Hatcher, Maria Hatcher, Christopher Aldred, Richard Good, Jeremiah Aldred, Jason Good, Timothy Good and Brian Hatcher; and 22 great-grand and stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gerald; and three siblings, Warren Kellogg, Dean Kellogg and Nora "Viola" Sieving.
Visitation will take place 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral & Cremation Service, 416 S. Arch St., Fremont. Additional visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church, 1441 Fangboner Road, Fremont, where her funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor G. Alan Brown, II O.S.L., officiating. Burial will follow at McGormley Cemetery, Fremont.
