Edward Eugene Barker, 67, of Findlay, died at 9:40 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Birchaven Village, Findlay, surrounded by people who loved him, including his wife and children.
He was born Jan. 28, 1946, in Tiffin, to George Meade and Mary Louise (Campbell) Barker. He married Jane Engard Sept. 16, 2006, and she survives.
Ed also is survived by two daughters from a previous marriage, Rochelle Katheryn Barker of Tiffin, and Justina Louise (Tito) Vasquez of Findlay; four grandchildren, Zachery Hayes, Zoe Cook, Cheyanne Vasquez and Emily Vasquez; two great-grandchildren; two stepsons, Jimmy (Jenny) Engard of Findlay and Troy (Janna) Engard of Leipsic; a stepdaughter, Darlene (Aaron) Lewis of Findlay; five stepgrandchildren, Chelsea McCance, Paul McCance, Brooke Engard, Kayla Engard and Kaitlyn Engard; five stepgreat-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Barker of Florida and Larry (Peggy) Barker of Tiffin; and three sisters, Edith (Charles) Poole of Texas, Katherine Glaspy of Norwalk and Rosetta (David) Cleveland of Tiffin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Barker; and two sisters Claudette "Sue" Goodwin and Georgia Marie Suddon.
Ed was an over-the-road truck driver for more than 30 years. He loved fishing, taking car rides and radio controlled airplanes.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Howard United Methodist Church, Findlay, with Jim and Linda Davison officiating.
