Columbian High School's vocal music department is to present its annual Pops Concert at 8 p.m. May 23 at The Ritz Theatre, 30 S. Washington St. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
Opening with the national anthem, the concert is to feature the concert choir, freshman/sophomore women's chorus, freshman/sophomore men's chorus, 2012-13 choristers, the cast of "Grease" and featured soloists. The program is to include contemporary music by The Beatles, Bruno Mars, Ellie Greenwich, Phil Spector and many others. The school's alma mater also is to be sung.
This is director Curtis L. King's last public performance as vocal music director with Tiffin City Schools; his retirement begins May 31.
