FREMONT - Columbian's boys team had a pair of winners Saturday, and two more came from Old Fort to lead area efforts at the Fremont Invitational.
Brandon Gibson captured the 1,600 in 4:32.8 for Columbian and teammate Tyler Lewis claimed the 3,200 in 9:54.02, helping TC finish fifth in the boys meet with 50 points.
Caleb Peacock added a second in the high jump (5-8) for the Tornadoes, and Derek Dryfuse, Caleb Feasel, Doug McDonald and Jared Feasel took third in the shuttle hurdle relay (1:13.86).
Old Fort ended ninth in the team standings (15), led by Adam Alexander topping 12 feet for the win in the pole vault.
In the girls meet, Old Fort's Molly Cleveland won the high jump by clearing 4-10.
Teammate Makayla Wilkinson took third in the discus (93-02) to help the Stockaders finish eighth overall (24).
Columbian wound up fifth with 45 points, led by the 4x1,600 team of Abrie Smith, Marisa Stephens, Cassandra Gooding and Amanda Schwartz taking second (24:51.4).
Tierra LeGrant, Chandler Carley, Michaela Sharlow and Annie Demith added a third in the 4x400 (4:23.47), and Felton took third in the shot (30-9).
New Riegel's Abby Cassidy ran third in the 1,600 (5:42.31). New Riegel ended 10th (14).
