Lauryn E. Schank-Hyden, 27, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday evening, May 5, 2013, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, from complications from kidney failure.

She was born April 2, 1986. She married Andrew Hyden June 9, 2012.

Survivors include her parents, Ronald L. and Susan M. (Deats) Schank of Tiffin; husband, Andrew; brother, Justin (Wendy) Schank of Friendswood, Texas; grandmother, Rita Schank of Tiffin; nephew, Eric Schank; stepniece and nephew, Kailey and Brant Mathias; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Margaret Deats and Arthur Schank.

Lauryn graduated in 2005 from Tiffin Calvert High School and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin. She enjoyed leisure nights of watching movies with her husband and had a love for animals. Lauryn loved life.

Her Mass of Christian burial will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, with the Rev. Joseph Szybka and the Rev. Timothy Kummerer con-celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Tiffin. A rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the Mass.

There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852, St. Joseph Catholic Church Worker's Fund, Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, 4742 N. 24th St., Suite 400, Phoenix, AZ 85016-4862, or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424, is assisting the family with arrangements.
