Seneca County Board of Developmental Disabilities met for a special session to discuss personnel Tuesday afternoon at the School of Opportunity.
Following a 1 1/2-hour executive session for discussion of personnel issues, board member Joe Moore moved for Superintendent Lew Hurst to resolve the employee issue as they had discussed.
Business manager Dick Williams reported since changing the center's electric provider, a savings of $1,600 has been realized.
In other business, the board:
Heard the ethics committee approved a new contract.
Approved Hurst attending the Ohio Association of County Boards spring conference in Columbus, May 23-24.
Approved the appropriation of unused funds from 2012, totaling $77,226.66.
Approved the creation of a behavior support specialist with duties to include the volunteer coordinator. The position is funded by recent vacated positions.
The board is to meet at 5 p.m. June 11.
