Combatting metal scrapping, tires, meth labs and illegal dumps are topics to be covered during a free workshop for law enforcement officials 9 a.m.-3 p.m. May 3 in Port Clinton.
The workshop, sponsored by Keep Ohio Beautiful, is designed for law enforcement personnel, public officials, community leaders and public defenders.
Experts involved in local, state and federal efforts to fight environmental crimes are to share their knowledge.
Attendees will learn about enforcing environmental laws, meth lab training, environmental enforcement, scrap metal, how to form a local environmental coalition and community policing best management practices.
