A 1000-block West CR 30 woman reported Tuesday afternoon a camper had been entered. She also reported someone was shining a flashlight into her windows Monday night. When she went outside to check, they were gone.

Joseph W. Flugga, 33, of Fostoria, was charged with assault Monday afternoon. Capt. Patrick Brooks of the Fostoria Police Department said Flugga had allegedly hit a police officer in the chest after the officer would not arrest him. Brooks said Flugga had asked the officer to arrest him because he wanted to go to jail. The officer was not injured, Brooks said.

A 200-block West Center Street woman reported Monday night she found a cloth shoved in a door. The cloth smelled as if someone had tried to light it on fire.
A man went to the station Tuesday afternoon to report a gun was stolen from his residence. He believed he knew who took it.
Bascom firefighters were called to TR 47 Monday evening for a brush fire.
Fostoria firefighters were called to 824 S. Union St. Monday night for the report of a house fire. A spokesman from Fostoria Fire Division said an improperly discarded cigarette on the back porch had ignited combustible materials. The fire then spread up an outside wall. The spokesman said the fire was mostly extinguished when firefighters arrived. A damage estimate was unavailable.
