A Toledo man was charged with burglary Sunday after he was found sleeping in a stranger's home.
Isaac J. Douglas, 22, was charged with the fourth-degree felony after a person in the first block of West Market Street reported at 2:48 a.m. Sunday a man was sleeping in a bed, according to Tiffin Police Department. He was being held without bond in Seneca County Jail Sunday.
Officer Joe O'Connor of Tiffin Police Department said a woman who lives at the residence noticed a man sleeping in her daughter's bed while her daughter was asleep on a couch. She confronted the man and knocked him off the bed and onto the floor, he said.
O'Connor said the man walked into a bathroom and out the front door. He was walking in the backyard when police arrived and was arrested, he said.
Douglas did not know the resident, and it appeared he was highly intoxicated, O'Connor said.
Douglas should appear in Tiffin Municipal Court this morning, he said.
