Helen M. Hemrick, 98, of Fostoria, passed away at 8:20 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Bowling Green.
She was born July 7, 1914, in Fostoria, to the late Robert and Ethel (Young) Gwiner. She married Paul E. Hemrick Sr., and he died in 1995.
Surviving are three children, Shirley Lofay and Paul E. Hemrick Jr., both of Fostoria, and Terry L. (Tammy) Hemrick of New Riegel; four grandchildren, Paula Dillon, Jeff (Beth) Lofay, Brian Hemrick and Laura Reinhart; three great-grandchildren, Chad Dillon, Brooks Lofay and Landon Reinhart; two great-great-granddaughters; and a sister, Leah Evans, Fostoria.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Stout, and three brothers, Robert, Dick and Charles Gwiner.
Helen was a homemaker, had been employed by Autolite, Fostoria, and was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Fostoria. She enjoyed supporting her grandchildren and their activities and the faithful companionship of her pet dogs.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2013, in the chapel of Knollcrest Gardens, Arcadia.
