Henry L. Bonnigson, 93, of rural Fremont, died at The Willows on Saturday, April 13, 2013.
Hank was born in Erie County Feb. 24, 1920, to the now deceased Carl and Edna (Justi) Bonnigson. On Feb. 7, 1948, he married the former Doris Camp.
Survivors include their seven children, Joanne (Joe) Frisch, of Catawba Island; Karl (Patricia) Bonnigson, of Fremont; Keith Bonnigson (Jamie Drossman), of Bellevue; Jeanne (Ken) Mathias, of Burgoon; Kenneth (Jen) Bonnigson, of Clyde; Grace (Chris) Leichty, of Green Springs and Mary (Tim) Myers, of Fremont; 17 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Doris (Clarence) Rahrig, of Norwalk; and Ruth Deehr and Irma Moon, both of Berlin Heights.
Hank was preceded in death by his first wife, Beatrice Faye Bonnigson, who died in 1945; his second wife, Doris Camp, who died Jan. 21, 2012; and an infant brother, William.
Visitation will be 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013, with visitation one hour before, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Sheid Road, Sandusky, with the Rev. Bill Hlavin officiating. Burial will be in Bakertown Cemetery, with military rites.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or Memorial Hospice.
