For all the shattering of the record books that happened Friday night for Tiffin University, nothing could crack the goose egg Walsh Univesity mustered on the scoreboard in a 24-0 pasting of the Cavaliers in GLIAC lacrosse action.
Alexandria Quast was once again the story of the game. The senior, who has led Division II in goals per game twice in her career, showed off her nose for the net with seven goals and 13 assists. The 13 assists, along with her 20 total points, set new NCAA Division II marks.
The efforts move her into 10th in Division II history with 230 goals and 14th in career points with 318.
But those weren't the only records being broken by the Dragons (4-6, 2-0 GLIAC). In TU's third straight win, the Dragons outshot Walsh 38-0, holding their opponent without a shot for the first time in school history.
They also set school marks with 20 total assists and 44 total points.
The Dragons, who forced 26 turnovers, were helped in the scoring column by Emily Roussel, who had seven goals and an assist. Alexis MacMillan had four goals and three assists. Sarah Gowen tallied two goals and Katelyn Hill, Shannon Lubin and Kalie Weinheimer each added a goal and assist. Molly Kruse rounded out the scoring with a goal.
