A 100-block Cottage Avenue man reported Thursday morning a man would not leave his residence. The caller threatened to get a butcher knife and go inside. He also told police the man would not get off the couch to eat breakfast. Both men agreed to work out things, according to the report.

A vehicle struck a pole Wednesday night in the 8000 block of West SR 18. No injuries were reported.
Viola G. Ziegler, 85, of Bellevue, was taken by Republic EMS to The Bellevue Hospital after she was struck by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon in a driveway in the 4000 block of North SR 18. Her husband, Henry J. Ziegler, 87, was operating the vehicle when his foot slipped off of the brake pedal and hit the accelerator.
