Esta M. Thomas

Esta M. Thomas, 84, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday morning, Feb. 27, 2013, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.

She was born Jan. 5, 1929, in Whitesburg, Ky., to Robert and Rosa (Collins) Thomas.

Survivors include her son, Jim Holbrook of Findlay; daughter, Joyce (John) McGee of Tiffin; six grandchildren, Donald (Kaylenne) Holbrook, Brian (Tina) Holbrook, Eric Holbrook, Jamie Holbrook, John Goshe and Michelle McGee; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; four brothers, Watson, Carl, Lenville and Ellis Thomas; seven sisters, Ora Mason, Verna Nease, Mattie Taylor, Jean Lucas, Oma Kiser, Sabrina Lucas and Norma Thomas; and former husband and close friend, Nathan Agerter.

Esta worked as a tester at RCA, Findlay, for 25 years, retiring in 1978. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, walking and loved dogs.

Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery, Tiffin.

Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 1, and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, both at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society of Seneca County.
