Ercell F. "Frank" Fausey, 88, of Fremont, died Sunday evening, Feb. 24, 2013, at Fremont Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 22, 1924, in Fremont, the son of Ercelle W. and Zena (Havens) Fausey. He was a graduate of Old Fort High School. He married Patricia Garn Nov. 2, 1947, and she preceded him in death April 30, 2000.
Frank was a farmer and former driver for P.M. Gillmor and Tony's Bakery. He was a member of Old Fort United Methodist Church, the Farm Bureau and S.C.R.A.P. He was an avid fan of both the Cleveland Indians and Old Fort Stockaders. He enjoyed wintering in Florida, restoring antique John Deere tractors, fishing and meeting his friends to eat out.
Surviving are his two children, Charlotte (Gary) Cole of Tiffin and Chuck (Kay) Fausey of Fremont; four grandchildren, Jason Fausey, Jyl (Bob) Atighechi, Catie (Chris) Wise and Christina (Eric) Hanson; and six great-grandchildren, Mitra and Kiyan Atighechi, Sidney and Skylar Fausey, Kayden Wise and Cole Hansen.
He also was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Gladys Semer and Phyllis Pence.
Visitation will take place 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral & Cremation Service, 416 S. Arch St., Fremont.
His funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor John Alice officiating. Burial will follow at Decker Cemetery, Fremont.
Memorial contributions may be made to Old Fort United Methodist Church, Old Fort Athletic Boosters or a charity of the donor's choice.
