SYCAMORE - Tiffin Charitable Foundation has awarded $10,000 from White Family Charitable Fund to Mohawk Community Library.
The grant is to go toward the library's Special Edition II construction project. This project will provide 2,360 more square feet for a meeting and programming room.
"This grant has helped to make our dream a reality," Susan Runion, library director, said.

The room is to contain tables, chairs, a refreshment area, a projector and retractable screen, and additional restrooms.
The addition is to provide more room for the library's activities such as kids programs, storytime, family fun nights, computer classes and movie nights.
Board member Joe Weininger said the number of visitors and circulation has increased 10 percent from last year.
"We feel that with this addition we are meeting the needs of the community," Weininger said.
The project as a whole will cost roughly $300,000. Additional funds came from donations from the public through a campaign and a grant from The Andersons.
The library has been building and expanding since 1984, when the first expansion was completed. The library went through a name change from Sycamore Community Library to Mohawk Community Library and an additional expansion in 1998.
By 2011, the library collection was 26,000 items, which included print material, DVDs and Blu-ray, CDs, audio, MP3 and computer disks.
"This library is a shining part of our community," Weininger said. "Mohawk is proud of this library."
The architect is to be RCM Architects Inc. of Findlay. Bids are to be taken for the construction project in May and early June.
"We were surprised, amazed and excited about receiving the grant," Runion said. "This has been our goal and dream for many years."
