Marilyn L. Riley, 85, of Tiffin, died at 9:05 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at the Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.
Marilyn was born Feb. 15, 1928, in Ottawa Lake, Mich., to Raymond "Chick" and Alma (Weisenauer) Linker. She married Wayne C. Riley June 6, 1948, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Put-in-Bay, and he survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include two sons, Daniel Riley of Port Clinton and Thomas Riley of Tiffin; daughter-in-law, Sandy Riley of Tiffin; six grandchildren, Caitlin, Sean, Allison Riley, Kevin Riley and twins, Emerson and Emma Riley; two stepgrandchildren, Tricia and Amy Glowniak; and one stepgreat-granddaughter, Julia Tiell.
Marilyn worked as bookkeeper for Riley's Car Wash, Tiffin, and also worked with her father's many businesses on Put-in-Bay. Marilyn was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, was a 1946 graduate of Columbian High School and took some bookkeeping classes at Tiffin University. Marilyn was active with St. Paul's Soup Kitchen and the Meals on Wheels program. She also was very active with her high school classmates and their card club.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; a son, William Riley; and a sister, Joanne Moore.
Her memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Trinity United Church of Christ, Tiffin, with the Rev. Dr. Louis Dorsch officiating.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. There will be no burial at this time.
