Seneca County Youth Center opened its doors to the public and is giving the community an opportunity to take a tour of the new building today.
The new building has numerous improvements from the old youth center, which was built in the 1950s and originally was used as an orphanage before being converted into a youth center in the 1970s. Among the improvements are dorm-style living arrangements, which are to allow children to have more privacy and safety.
Tours continue at an open house 5-7 p.m. today.
