Homicide suspect appears in court

A Tiffin man arrested Friday after he allegedly shot and killed a man at a Fourth Avenue residence appeared by video in Tiffin Municipal Court Monday morning for a bond hearing.

According to court documents, bond for 21-year-old Damian B. Magers was set at $100,000 with 10 percent surety allowed.

Magers faces a charge of reckless homicide, a third-degree felony, in connection to the death of Thomas A. Nally, 24, of McCutchenville. Both men had been visiting 199 Fourth Ave.when Nally was shot in the face Friday morning. A 911 caller had reported a possible gunshot wound, and when police arrived at the residence, Nally was found dead. Magers and two other men were at the residence at the time of the shooting.

According to court documents, Magers is scheduled to appear in court Friday for a preliminary hearing.
