A Tiffin councilman was charged with three misdemeanors early Sunday morning.

Tyler J. Shuff, 27, of Tiffin, was charged with menacing and persistent disorderly conduct, fourth-degree misdemeanors, and disorderly conduct, a minor misdemeanor, according Tiffin Police Department.

According to police department reports, a person reported a loud party and people yelling, and a man also reported Shuff was yelling at him and threatening him.

Tiffin Mayor Aaron Montz said Shuff is an at-large councilman. Montz said he did not know the details of the situation and planned to talk to Police Chief Fred Stevens today.

Shuff did not return a telephone call seeking comment Sunday night.
