Ruth Anne Gallagher, 63, of Fostoria, passed away unexpectedly at 9:37 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at Fostoria Community Hospital.
She was born Sept. 28, 1949, in Sandusky, to Paul and Irene (Cook) Kuhn. She married Pete J. Gallagher July 1, 1972, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria.
Surviving are her husband, Pete J. Gallagher of Fostoria; her mother, Irene Kuhn of Fostoria; three children, Peter J. (Michelle Abbuhl) Gallagher III of Attica, Jennifer L. (Matthew) Gallagher-Morrow of Canton and Crystal A. Gallagher of Fostoria; six grandchildren, Aiden, Chloe-Lynn, Adam, Ethan, Evann and Sydney; two brothers, Robert (Patricia) Kuhn of Tiffin and David (Debra) Kuhn of Fostoria; three sisters, Sheila (Joseph) Kromer of Carey, Linda (Scott) Heiden of Temperance, Mich., and Theresa (Paul) Williams of Fostoria; her beloved nieces and nephews; and her faithful pet dogs, Molly, Madison and Daisy.
She was preceded in death by her father; an infant sister, Betty Jean Kuhn; and a nephew, Daniel Kuhn.
Ruth enjoyed her retirement, spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria.
Visitation is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Hoening Funeral Home, 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, where a Christian wake service will be at 3:45 p.m.
Her Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, where a Rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m.
