Tickets still available for Humane Society Bash
BASCOM - Wally and the Beavs are to return to the area for the annual bash to benefit the Humane Society of Seneca County.
The event is to begin at 7 p.m. Saturday in Meadowbrook Park Ballroom, Bascom. Patrons should bring their own drinks and snacks.

'Chorus Line' due in Toledo
TOLEDO - "A Chorus Line" is to be staged Saturday at The Valentine Theatre, Toledo, with a national touring cast from New York.

Seneca chamber takes tropical route for benefit
The Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce is to stage its annual Casino Royale reverse raffle Feb. 9 at Camden Falls Recreation and Conference Center, 2458 S. SR 231.
Doors open at 6 p.m., with heavy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar available at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $100 per couple with one reverse raffle entry.
Casino games, raffles, a horse race event and music by Parrots of the Caribbean are planned.

Mardi Gras events coming
BASCOM - The Greater Fostoria Community Foundation is to host its 12th annual Mardi Gras Extravaganza 6-11 p.m. Feb. 8 at Meadowbrook Park Ballroom in Bascom.
Tickets are $50 and must be purchased in advance.
Proceeds from the event cover the administrative cost of the foundation so all gifts can benefit local programs and projects. For each ticket purchased, the buyer's name is placed into a drawing for a "hidden treasure" bag or for four one-day park hopper passes to Florida amusement parks.
The Paradise Island Band is to play music in a variety of styles.

FREMONT - Fremont's inaugural M'Arti Gras Gala is scheduled for 7 p.m. Feb. 16 at The Strand Theater, 220 S. Front St.
The event is to include a silent auction; buffet dinner with gumbo, red beans and rice; and New Orleans-style jazz.
Proceeds are to be placed in a Fremont Arts and Music Society scholarship fund for the award to be given in May.

SANDUSKY - Comedian Ron White is to present his adult comedy, "A Little Unprofessional," at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Feb. 9 at Sandusky State Theatre.

'Idol' contestants move on
MILAN - Winners of "Firelands Idol 6" talent challenge earlier this month now are advancing to the semi-finals at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 10 at Edison High School Little Theatre, Milan.
