Seneca County Board of Elections made a decision Friday night on how a one-time, 3-percent salary supplement given to all county employees by the previous county commissioners will be dispersed.
The board was given $3,392.53 to spread to its three employees, and the board voted to give $1,000 to each of two clerks and give $1,392.53 to director Andrea Carroll.
Board member James Fruth said the board decided to give Carroll more because she has worked without a deputy director since the retirement of Janet Leahy in December.

The money will be paid to the employees in two payments one after the primary election and the other after the general election.
The board also discussed the hiring of the next deputy director in an executive session. None of the candidates were given, but clerk Donna Theis has been previously mentioned as one of the candidates and has been given the support of the Seneca County Republican Party.
