Tiffin has been selected as a site for an expansion team of semi-pro baseball, according to a release. The independent baseball league has announced that a new team will be based out of Tiffin for the start of the 2014 season.
Team owner Brian Dutton, a 1978 graduate of Tiffin University, has worked for the U.S. Department of Justice in Danbury, Conn., and is excited to "bring truly affordable family entertainment to the people of Tiffin," the release states. The new team will be known as the Tiffin Saints with games scheduled to begin in June 2014.
