NORWALK - Rachel Hudacek swam to two individual first-place finishes, and was a part of two victorious relay teams as Columbian's girls took a quad-meet Saturday at Norwalk. The Tornadoes beat out the host Truckers for first place 40-29. Calvert finished third with 19 followed by Willard with six.
Hudacek took first in the 50 freestyle (26.75) and the 100 free (56.26).
She also teamed with Sarah Hudacek, Natalie Howard and Lindsay Young to win the 200 medley relay (2:05.99) and 200 freestyle relay (1:51.24).
Sarah Hudacek won the 500 freestyle (5:50.11) while Howard took the 100 backstroke (1:07.54).
Calvert's Corinne Harris won the 200 freestyle (2:04.24) and finished second in the 100 freestyle (56.53). Katie Tiell took a pair of seconds in the 50 freestyle (27.85) and 500 freestyle (6:02.67).
Harris and Tiell teamed with Emma Brodman and Amanda Traxler to finish second in the 200 medley relay (2:19.36).
Norwalk beat out Columbian for first place on the boys side 51-42.
Columbian's Chris Gates won two events, the 200 freestyle (1:56.06) and the 100 backstroke (58.72). Also earning first place finishes were Nate Ramsdell in the 200 individual medley (2:21.64), Adam Young in the 500 freestyle (5:45.25) and Isaac Lewis in the 100 breaststroke (1:14.81).
