Chester Elmer Craun

Chester Elmer Craun, Burgoon resident, 82, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Bethesda Health Care Center, Fremont.

He was born in Bettsville, Feb. 16, 1930, to the now deceased Francis and Chloe (Meyers) Craun. On Oct. 15, 1948, he married Donna Jean Johnson in Greenup, KY.

Surviving Chester is his wife; daughter, Barbara (Tim) Weber of Burgoon; grandson, Rob (Rebeccah) Weber of West Sunbury, Pa.; brother, Ed (Carol) Craun of Largo, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Arden Craun, Leroy Craun, Olive Craun, Mauk Betty Serfozo, Irene Semer and two infant siblings.

Chester was a 1948 graduate of Bettsville High School. Chester worked as a mechanic and garage supervisor for Craun Transportation. He enjoyed being outside, spending time with his grandson and visiting with the neighbors.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the Burgoon United Methodist Church.

Funeral will follow beginning at 11:30 a.m. Pastor Chuck Albright will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date at Smith Cemetery, Burgoon.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to Burgoon United Methodist Church.
