BASCOM - Hopewell-Loudon Board of Education met in special session Wednesday evening for the purpose of awarding contracts for the new school construction and hiring personnel.
Allied Environmental Services was hired as the asbestos abatement project manager. The company is to bid the contract for the actual removal of asbestos from the old structure. They will be on site to supervise and monitor the process. The $26,710 cost has been included in the construction budget. The removal is expected to take six weeks and is scheduled for the summer.
Firefighters, a company from Pennsylvania, won the bid for installation of the servers and other technology components.
The board hired Doug Depinet as support staff supervisor at a salary of $49,500.
The board is to meet at 6:30 p.m. Feb 13.
