The 2012 Sycamore Village and Sycamore Township 1 Fund Drive has come to a close and $9,118.56 has been distributed to 11 local charities and organizations.

Recipients include Sycamore Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, Sycamore Girl Scouts, Hospice of Wyandot County, Mohawk Historical Society, Mental Health and Recovery Services of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties, Sycamore Community Pool, Wyandot County Council for Birth Defects, Wyandot County Home Health Agency, Wyandot County Multiple Sclerosis, Wyandot County Red Cross and Wyandot County Senior Citizens (Mohawk 60+ Club).

"We had an amazing year," said Kim Mohr, president. "This is the second-highest total in our 54-year history. A big thank you to all who contributed to our 2012 campaign. What a great place to call home, the Sycamore community has a huge heart.

"We had 35 volunteers on this years team and they made it happen. They were a great group to work with."
