BUCYRUS - Bucyrus brought pressure, and Columbian struggled to handle it.
The result was - for the second-straight game - 10 Tornado turnovers in the first quarter. On Saturday at Fostoria, Columbian was able to overcome its early miscues and win.
It wasn't as fortunate Thursday.
A left-wing 3 from Jocelyn Cole, gave TC some momentum, and it opened an early 7-2 advantage on the Redmen.
But from there, Macey Sheerer and Bucyrus took over.
Sheerer scored nine points in the first quarter alone, spurring a 16-2 run to close out the period. She finished with 20 points and eight rebounds as Bucyrus won, 49-32.

"She's just our catalyst," said Bucyrus coach Greg Moore, whose team upped its record to 4-5. "She's one of the top rebounders in the league, she's one of the leading scorers in the league, and she plays with pure heart."
Columbian finished the game with 30 turnovers.
"They got us flustered in the first half, and then we were playing from behind the whole time," TC coach Katie Fazekas said. "It was just a scramble tonight. Not good.
"We've got to do a better job taking care of the ball," she said.
Moore said the Redmen's pressure was key.
"It's advantageous to us to come out in run-and-jump, press the ball," he said. "We've got to push the ball in transition."
Bucyrus led 18-9 at the first stop and 31-17 at halftime, and extended its advantage to as many as 25 points in the third quarter. Sheerer was the only Bucyrus player to score in double figures, but nine Redmen scored overall.
Bucyrus went 18 of 40 from the floor.
"They got some stuff rolling," Fazekas said. "Things went well for them tonight, not so well for us."
Columbian's leading scorer was Cole, who had eight. The Tornadoes slipped to 5-6.
Fazekas said TC's offense really struggled.
"Offensively, we're just gonna scrap it and go back to basics," she said.
