George Edwin Bock, 84, of Cleveland, Ga., passed away Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Friendship Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Jan. 11, 1928, in Old Fort, to Frank and Grace R. Bock.
He was a farmer, a retired school bus driver and a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene, Spring Hill, Fla.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Joy and Jason Smidt of Cleveland, Ga., and Sandra and Charles Hogge of St. Petersburg, Fla.; six grandchildren, Valerie Renee Miller, Samantha Hogge, Erin Riley Hogge, Charleigh Jo Hogge, Henry Sebastian Bock Smidt and Elizabeth Grace Smidt; and a great-grandson, Nathan Lloyd Miller Phillips.
Mr. Bock was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marjorie Bock; and two brothers, Earl Bock and Kenneth Bock.
A memorial service is to be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Barrett Funeral Home, 118 N. Brooks St., P.O. Box 825, Cleveland, GA 30528, (706) 865-3101. The Rev. Marvin Beasley will officiate.
The family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.
